Jodie L. Schneitman MSN, AG-ACNP, BC

Jodie has over 20 years of experience working as a registered nurse. With a desire to have a more in-depth role in patient care, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. A graduate of Carson-Newman College, Jodie received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University.

When describing her job as a Nurse Practitioner, Jodie appreciates the ability to collaborate closely with each patient’s cardiologist to make certain they get the full benefit of services at University Cardiology. She frequently sees patients needing urgent in-office attention when their regular cardiologist is not available or routinely for preventive care office visits. Her gratification comes from providing guidance, education and reassurance to patients and their family as they walk through the journey of dealing with heart disease.

Outside of the office and hospital, Jodie enjoys being outdoors, specifically hiking and camping. She has hiked all of the trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and half of the Appalachian Trail.
